Race starts at 9:00 am.
The 2016 Race for the Cure will include a timed 5K. The course is USATF Certified. Course number is: NY09032JG
Those with faster mile paces should stay towards the front. We ask those with slower paces to stay towards the middle and rear.
Timing chips will be attached the the back of your bib and given out at packet pickup. Please be sure you do not mix your bib up with another member of your team or another family member. You do NOT need to return your chip. If you need extra pins to attach your bib on race day, you can get them from the registration table inside on the concourse.
Check your times up near the stage. We will post times as soon as they are available. If you think you placed near the top of your age group, we encourage you to stay for the awards ceremony to receive your medal.
Age group awards will be given out in 5 year increments.
Unclaimed medals can be picked up at our office in Colonie beginning Monday. Medals will not be mailed.
Results are not final until the awards ceremony. If you notice your time is wrong, your age group is missing from your results or that you may have switched your number, please go to the timing booth at the end of the course before the awards ceremony so we can re-calculate your age group's results.
Strollers and Pets are not permitted during the 5k for safety reasons (they are permitted during the walk). Runners may wear headphones, however please be sure you can still hear directions from police or course marshalls if needed.
If you participate in the 5K, you are welcome to stay and participate in the 2 mile walk as well, or help us cheer on our walkers when they come back!
